Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) provides assistance to day care centers and childcare institutions for the provision of delicious, healthy meals that contribute to the healthy growth, development, and overall wellness of children, adolescents, and young adults. According to the United States Food and Nutrition Service, CACFP has helped over 4.2 million children receive nutritious snacks and meals each day!
Who is it for? How do I continue my CACFP participation?
Primarily, this training program is intended for Childcare Centers, CACFP and At-Risk Programs, and Summer Feeding (SFSP) Programs. For continued participation in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), an annual training is required. At a minimum, the person responsible for the oversight of the CACFP should undergo training.
